Motherwell 3, Kilmarnock 1. Now I said this to L.Muck, a big Killie fan, Motherwell 3, Kilmarnock 1, and she (only half listening as she was reading a book) got rather excited (because Killie dont win that often really) and said Oh! What was the score?? I said, Motherwell 3 Kilmarnock 1, but yes she says, what was the SCORE?? I said Kilmarnock GOT 1 and Motherwell GOT 3, she says OH NO, you said they won, I said NO, they got 1... She said, but you said 'Mother well see, Killie won', I said no, 'Motherwell 3, Killie 1'...
And she says well, I'm very disappointed because you said they won, and I was so pleased, that's just so cruel to raise my hopes that way...
And so goes a ladies discussion on Saturdays football results...
And perhaps a hearing aid is in order for one of us...
